Prompts

If I had an unlimited supply of money, what would I do with it?

If I could be an animal, what would I be?

If I had 24 hours to do whatever I wanted, what would I do?

These are examples of prompts. Prompts are used to stimulate thought. There are no right or wrong answers. There is no judgment by anyone. The answers are yours and yours alone. Today, you might respond to a prompt one way. Tomorrow, you might respond totally different. The ultimate goal is to urge you to write.

If you are new to journaling, you might struggle with how to begin. A blank page can be very intimidating. Even those who have been journaling for a while may occasionally hit a writing block when faced with a blank page. Prompts give you ideas to prime your thinking, eventually opening a faucet of words, phrases, sentences, and even images.

Prompts can be found everywhere across the world wide web. In fact, you can find downloadable prompt decks at www.PaperandHerbs.com. The daily, general, and annual prompt decks provide ”seeds” to nudge your memory and imagination. Download a deck today and start writing.

Go and grow,

Cris

Dear Self,
If I had an unlimited supply of money, I would help people plant gardens to grow food so that no one goes hungry. I know this would be a monumental task because water is not always easily available. So, access to water would be an issue. Then there is the soil to consider. Is the soil conducive to growing vegetation? What about the local climate? Where would I start first? What are the local ordinances about growing gardens on residential and community properties? This idea definitely needs a plan…
